I’m not one for New Year’s Resolutions (I think they’re dumb). But on January 1, 2014 I decided to do a sketch every morning and post it online. And today marks the third anniversary of the start of my daily sketch blog! The first year was tough, the second was easy, and then the third I upped the challenge by coloring all my sketches. And it’s been so much fun that I’m going for a fourth year! A couple things, though. The first is that I’m going to deviate from the norm a bit this year. I read an article recently regarding internships and it got me thinking about my dislike of them and how there’s no more on-the-job training (Entry-level jobs expect you to have experience even though you were in school and don’t have experience, but you can’t get experience without the job, etc.). Here’s my story about how I beat the system for a school project and did shit my own way and got stellar grades and learned so much about myself and my craft.
